Ziehen Sie Ihren Router ab, und es funktioniert weiter, denn das neuronale Netzwerk befindet sich im eigenen Flash-Speicher des Chips und läuft auf dessen Vektorinstruktionen.

Hier gibt es keinen Cloud-Dienst, keinen API-Schlüssel und nichts, wofür man sich anmelden müsste. Nichts verlässt den Raum.

So funktioniert es

Dies verwendet Espressifs esp-dl-Modelle: einen zweistufigen Detektor, bei dem human_face_detect_msr01 Kandidatengesichter vorschlägt und human_face_detect_mnp01 sie bestätigt und die fünf Gesichtsmerkmalspunkte findet. Beide Modelle sind innerhalb des ESP32-Arduino-Cores 2.x enthalten – es muss keine Bibliothek installiert werden.

Das ist der Grund, warum jedes Projekt auf dieser Seite ESP32 Core 2.0.17 festlegt. Die Gesichtsmodelle wurden in Core 3.x entfernt, und dieser Sketch wird dort nicht kompilieren – Sie erhalten human_face_detect_msr01.hpp: No such file or directory.

Ton und ein Ausgangspin

Das Board piept über seinen Lautsprecher, wenn ein Gesicht erscheint, und setzt IO15 auf High, solange ein Gesicht im Bild ist – so kann es ein Relais, eine Lampe oder ein Schloss auslösen. Setzen Sie ENABLE_BEEP oder ACTION_PIN am Anfang des Sketches, um eines von beiden zu deaktivieren.

Kamera und Touchpanel teilen sich einen Bus

Die Steuerschnittstelle der Kamera verwendet dieselben zwei I2C-Leitungen wie das Touchpanel, die Uhr und die Batterieanzeige. Standardmäßig installiert der Kamera-Treiber seinen eigenen I2C-Treiber auf diesen Pins, und das Touchpanel reagiert nicht mehr. Die Lösung sind drei Zeilen in der Kamera-Konfiguration:

mit Wire.begin(39, 38), das vor esp_camera_init() aufgerufen wird. Kein veröffentlichtes Beispiel für dieses Board macht dies, weil keines das Touchpanel nach dem Start der Kamera liest.

Ehrliche Einschränkungen

  • Der Detektor läuft auf einem 240×240-Bild, daher werden kleine Gesichter aus der Entfernung übersehen.

  • Erkennung ist keine Identifikation – dieser Sketch findet Gesichter, er weiß nicht, wessen sie sind. Dafür siehe Projekt 03b.

  • Es gibt keinen Anti-Spoofing-Schutz. Ein Foto eines Gesichts ist immer noch ein Gesicht.

Jedes Projekt auf dieser Seite läuft auf dem MaTouch AI ESP32-S3 2.8" TFT ST7789V von Makerfabs. Es ist ein All-in-One-Board: ein Farb-Touchscreen, eine 3-Megapixel-Kamera, zwei Mikrofone und ein echter Lautsprecherverstärker, alles angetrieben von einem ESP32-S3 mit 8 MB PSRAM. Diese Kombination macht diese KI-Projekte auf einem einzigen Board ohne zusätzliche Komponenten möglich.

Die 8 MB PSRAM sind wichtiger als jede andere Zahl hier. Sie ermöglichen es dem Board, ein Kamerabild, ein paar Sekunden aufgenommenes Audio oder ein base64-kodiertes Foto gleichzeitig im Speicher zu halten – nichts davon passt in den normalen RAM des ESP32.

Die zwei USB-C-Anschlüsse sind nicht gleich. Der Lautsprecher des Boards teilt sich seine Signalpins (IO19 und IO20) mit dem nativen USB-Anschluss, da diese Pins die fest verdrahteten USB-Datenleitungen des ESP32-S3 sind. Laden und übertragen Sie immer über den CH340K-USB-C-Anschluss (den neben der RESET-Taste) und setzen Sie USB CDC On Boot auf Disabled. Verwenden Sie den falschen Anschluss, und der Ton verhält sich falsch oder Uploads schlagen fehl.

Arduino-IDE-Einstellungen

Die Reset-Leitung der Kamera ist mit der RESET-Taste des Boards verbunden, daher kann die Software sie nicht neu starten. Drücken Sie RESET. Wenn sie weiterhin ausfällt, setzen Sie das Kamera-Flachbandkabel neu ein.
