Welcome to Lesson 6 of the Raspberry Pi Pico Smart Car course by Robojax, taught by Ahmad Shamshiri. This lesson is part of the 10-part series based on the SunFounder Raspberry Pi Pico 4-Wheel Drive Smart Car Kit, and it builds directly on the previous wiring and RGB control lessons.

In this session, you'll learn how to programmatically control each individual motor on the smart car using Python. The goal is to move the car forward, backward, turn right, turn left, and even rotate in place by controlling the motors in specific directions.

What You’ll Learn

Ahmad explains the Python code in detail that powers motor control. By setting the appropriate pins HIGH or LOW, each motor can be spun clockwise or counterclockwise. This enables the car to perform various maneuvers depending on which motors are engaged and in which direction.

The video demonstrates:

• How each wheel responds to pin signals

• How to set motor direction in code

• How to coordinate multiple motors for composite movements (e.g., turning or spinning)
