The W5500 chip is a hardwired TCP/IP embedded Ethernet controller that provides easier Internet connection to embedded systems. The W5500 enables users to have Internet connectivity in their applications just by using a single chip in which the TCP/IP stack, 10/100 Ethernet MAC, and PHY are embedded.
The SPI to Ethernet Hardware TCP/IP W5500 Ethernet Network Module is based on the WIZNET W5500 chip. The module integrates the entire hardware TCP/IP protocol stack, so there is no need to code the TCP/IP protocol stack. The module supports transmission rates of 10/100MBPS. Also, it supports sleep mode and wake-on-LAN, and includes an integrated 32K TX/RX cache.
The SPI to Ethernet Hardware TCP/IP W5500 Ethernet Network Module has eight independent ports that can run simultaneously. The module supports 3.3V or 5V power supplies, making it convenient for users in different SCM systems. Module and MCU system communication uses the SPI protocol. It supports SPI clock frequencies up to 80MHz, and provides STM32 and 51 SCM client, server, and UDP routine modes.
