Lesson 3: LED, Breadboard, and Resistor Project

Lesson 3: LED, Breadboard, and Resistor Project

In this lecture, we learn to make our first Arduino project. It is called Blink.

An light-emitting diode (LED) is connected, with a voltage-dividing resistor, to the Arduino, and the Arduino turns it on and off at different intervals of time. We will have control over the time.

We learn how to calculate and select a resistor for the Arduino because our Arduino boards work with 5V and some boards work with 3.3V; so we have to know how to calculate the resistor value.

Also, the breadboard is explained and how to use it so students know how to connect components in the proper way for learning and prototyping.
